Integration Test Engineer SW029

Strong interest in our technology has created an opportunity for a test engineer to work with our various development teams to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products are maintained across their many applications.

 In the current situation, we are all working remotely. While we will offer you support and help to get up to speed quickly, you must be happy to integrate into a new team and company while working independently. In due course we will return to our office on Cambridge University’s West Campus, but even then, we plan to offer a mixture of home and office-based work to all our team members.

What you will do:

Working closely with other engineers across teams, you will be:

·      maintaining and developing our automated test suite

·      configuring a Jenkins-based CI infrastructure

·      developing test setups on prototype boards, embedded CPUs and mobile devices

·      writing tests to exercise APIs and Software Development Kits

·       generating good quality bug reports and documenting test procedures

·       designing and implementing audio test frameworks, including the use of physical apparatus and making hands-on recordings

What we need:

You must have some solid previous coding or testing experience in a commercial software environment, including experience of Continuous Integration and software release cycles. In addition, you should have the following:

  • Jenkins or similar CI/CD server experience
  • knowledge of test automation using Python
  • some experience of C++ or another compiled language
  • familiarity with prototype/embedded boards or Raspberry Pi
  • Linux

What would make your application stand out:

·       audio testing

·       CMake/CTest

·       familiary with Android

·       Docker, Kubernetes or other scalable cloud technologies

·       Github, Jira or other SaaS and their integrations
