Strong interest in our technology has created an opportunity for a test engineer to work with our various development teams to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products are maintained across their many applications. This role involves hands on testing of prototypes or Pis and testing audio recordings as well as software QA test.

In the current situation, we are all working remotely. While we will offer you support and help to get up to speed quickly, you must be happy to integrate into a new team and company while working independently. In due course we will return to our office on Cambridge University’s West Campus, but even then, we plan to offer a mixture of home and office-based work to all our team members

What you will do:

Working closely with other engineers across teams, you will be:

·       developing test setups on prototype boards, embedded CPUs and mobile devices

·       generating good quality bug reports and documenting test procedures

·       performing manual regression testing to ensure quality of existing software

·       making hands-on audio recordings

·       maintaining and developing our automated test suite

·       writing tests to exercise APIs and Software Development Kits

 

What we need:

·       solid experience of testing embedded devices or software functionality, gained within a commercial software development environment

·       knowledge of test automation

·       Python

·       Linux

What would make your application stand out:

·       audio testing

·       familiarity with Android

·       Jenkins or similar CI/CD server experience
