A look back at the whirlwind that was CES 2020

Feb 3, 2020

What an amazing debut for AudioTelligence at this year's CES tech show in Las Vegas. We returned home with more than 90 business leads – not bad in four days…

It was definitely a good move to be part of the Department for International Trade delegation of British companies showcasing UK innovation – as it meant we had help with things like building the stand, which made such a difference. And the footfall to our stand was excellent.

With more than 4,400 companies exhibiting this year, we faced a lot of competition for the attention of the attendees from 160 countries. But we more than held our own. Our stand was very busy – with lots of genuine interest from visitors and very productive discussions.

We were staging demonstrations of our technology breakthrough that enables your home assistant, smart speaker, VoIP product or in-car voice control system to focus on what you are saying when there is a lot of background noise. And some of the top global consumer electronics giants couldn't get enough of it – one household name sent four different people along to hear for themselves.

Other visitors to our stand included a major car manufacturer to hear how our solution could help with automotive voice control, a company specialising in bespoke smart systems and a top telecoms firm.

But it wasn’t just about us – we also made time to check out some of the weird and wonderful companies that make CES such a magnet for anyone interested in innovation. Artificial intelligence (AI) was everywhere. Some of our favourite applications were AI insoles – and an AI bathroom, in case you forget how to turn on a tap. But our vote for the product of the show was an AI litter tray.

All in all, the event was a fantastic success for us and we'll definitely be back for more next year. In the meantime, do excuse us, we've got a few leads to follow up…
